This client, a games website, is one of the world’s largest. The IT architecture is based on the SQA paradigm. This offers the highest possible availability for the user, and a horizontal scaling of databases and services. They are looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer to join the team, that will be responsible for their Hadoop, Cloud and Big Data infrastructure.

The Job:

• Design and extension of data models
• Drive effective cross-team solutions
• Analysis, tuning and monitoring of database
• Optimise the current infrastructure

Expectations:

• Proficiency of SQL databases, HBase, Kafka, Spark and Apache Storm. Also strong experience of JAVA
• A university degree, e.g. in computer science
• More than 5 years experience with Cloud environments and databases
• Able to perform well as part of a team
• Fluent English
