This company is developing a platform that helps teams speed up their application development using microservice architecture. They are leveraging modern technology to create the application development platform of the future. This role will be with the software development team to test and build backend models, data sharing frameworks, and business logic for current and future applications. You will help build and support a set of developer tools for monitoring and deploying applications, as well as scaling the overall infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Support software developers to enhance and develop new server side applications, and test / build backend models
- Communicate with developers on technical requirements and contribute to backend development components
- Create, support, and enhance CI tools for the testing and deployment of applications
- Work on debugging requests
- Contribute to high level discussion about design best practices within user feedback communication channels
Requirements:
- Experience with Python, or other system level software development languages
- Organisational, communication, and presentation skills
- Willing to collaborate and work well as part of a team
- Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, or other data management systems
- Expert level experience with best practices for documenting software implementations
- Familiar with backend API data service to help maintain the scalability and connectability of applications
- Excellent understanding of Docker container management and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
