Responsibilities: 

• Optimise and improve existing features / data processes for performance and stability
• Have ownership and responsibility in using data and machine learning to impact the customers and business
• Design, develop and maintain data products
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, frontend engineers, and product managers to deliver updates in the product experience
• Design and implement rich data pipelines on Spark to feed the product and machine learning algorithms with relevant data

Requirements:

• Proficient in Scala and strong CS fundamentals
• Analytical mind and bake decisions with data
• Experience developing production data workflows using Apache Spark
• Able to write efficient, well tested code
• Experience applying relevance and machine learning approaches to problems
• A plus; experience working with data scientists on machine learning data pipelines
• A plus; experience with product engineering in PHP
