Responsibilities:
- Optimise and improve existing features / data processes for performance and stability
- Grow the analytics capabilities with faster, more reliable data pipelines, and better tools
- Develop complex and efficient functions to transform raw data sources into powerful components
- Design and develop a real time events pipeline
- Design, build and refine data and analytics infrastructure
- Work with data scientists, backend engineers and product managers to find new ways to leverage data
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong experience with Scala, Python, or Java
- Big Data technologies experience
- You write efficient, well tested code with an eye on scalability and maintainability
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining systems at scale
- Experience building stream processing systems, using solutions such as Kafka and Spark
- Strong CS fundamentals and familiar with agile development
