Responsibilities:

• Help to build self-healing, adaptive pipelines
• Lead the team of data engineers responsible for accurate and scalable data-processing
• Grow and motivate your team by setting ambitious, achievable goals
• Provide technical leadership to architect big data solutions
• Continuously provide feedback and training to your team
• Take part in the hiring process, ensuring positions are filled with the best candidates

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree in a related field, and several years professional experience in data engineering
• Expert in Big Data related technologies; Hive, Spark, Hadoop, HDFS and Kafka
• Experience managing small, agile teams
• Engineer at heart, and have proficiency in Scala, Python or Ruby
• Good English communication skills to motivate your team, and able to understand business needs
